When they met in the fall of 2001 they had little idea of how much they would teach each other, how much they would grow as people, or how tight their bond would become. Every afternoon they would meet their teammates on the muddy rural field under the buzzing glow of the schoolhouse lights and clop back to the cement locker room after hours of cracking helmets over the football. These five young men were all from drastically different families and backgrounds that otherwise may have never crossed paths, but their diligence united them until the years transformed their bruises and sweat into touchdowns, tears, and true friendship. They wore their jersey numbers with pride — 42, 45, 46, 47, & 48 — and as they stacked life lessons their connection strengthened. By the time they hung up their cleats for good, they would come to be known as The 40 Series.
Twenty years later that connection still echoes through the lives of the young men, now with families, dreams and passions of their own. 40S was founded on the very same pillars they learned as youth: diverse perspectives, commitment to community and principled progress. The altruism, work ethic and playfulness that made its home on those gritty fields still runs deep in the 40S DNA — the only difference is that now we get to put it to work for our clients, families and ultimately, our entire communities. Our creations are as diverse as our experiences: design, storytelling, audio work, apparel and beyond. Below you can see a small cross-section of companies our founder has worked with over the years, spanning multiple industries, campaigns and environments.
